We got a little glimpse of spring this weekend with temperatures soaring in the 80′s! A few blocks from our house is a horse/mountain bike/walking trail. It’s one of the few places in the area where you can walk on dirt and be surrounded by trees. I love it. So does Selah! Travis obviously loves it too, as you can see from this picture.

I’m starting to gain a lot of weight, which makes walking pretty uncomfortable. I was sad to say goodbye to the trail for a few months, but I can’t walk it anymore without being in some serious pain by the time I get home. When I was pregnant with Selah I was so freaked out about my weight gain and aches and pains. I just didn’t know what to expect after I had her! Would I get back to my normal size? Would my round ligament pain go away? Thankfully, I can say yes to both of those questions.

Despite all the discomforts with pregnancy, I try to keep everything in perspective. Because really, in the scheme of things, it’s such a short time. And the gift of having a child is a priceless reward!

You are so so right. Thank you for this insight and wisdom. Sharing your joy brings hope to others so keep spreading it around we want to rejoice!
awww… sorry to hear you are so uncomfortable but I love your positive attitude about it. I will have to remember this if I ever have another baby.
